Shaklee Get Clean Review & Giveaway!

I bust my butt every single day just like so many others doing the same thing over and over again. Guess what it is? If you guessed cleaning my house then you guessed right. I clean up after my three kids ages 5 and under and my super messy husband.

I personally have a routine in my cleaning habits I set my timer on the stove for 45 minutes in the morning and 45 minutes in the evening. In the morning I start the washer, dryer and dishwasher, vacuum the floors and wipe down the counters, and sinks. I usually also pick up anything in the living room that does not belong.

In the evening I take out the trash and put away the dishes and laundry. I also pick up toys and of course have to wipe down the counters and such again. As you can imagine I go through a lot of cleaner in the day picking up after 5 people, 1 dog, 1 cat, and 2 fish.

I think it is safe to say I use 6 or 7 different items a day. I use all-purpose cleaner, dish washer detergent, dish liquid for prewashing, laundry detergent, laundry softener, all-purpose wipes, carpet cleaner, and window washer.

I want to have a clean home and sadly I have been using tons of chemicals to achieve a clean home. So in making it clean I have also made it very dangerous.

Here is a picture of what I usually use:

So when I got a chance to work with Shaklee and think about the question “What’s lurking under your kitchen sink?” I already felt bad. I knew everything I used was a chemical night mare and I am trying to raise healthy green kids. Yet every day I am putting them and Mother Nature in danger.

I had way to many toxic chemicals under my cabinets even bleach. I thought it was what was needed to keep things clean and germs gone. Guess what this old mom can admit when she is wrong and learn new tricks.

Look at what I am using now, I don't have to freak for him touching it:

I am really happy to have made this change because Shaklee products are endorsed for being safe by th Healthy Child Healthy World Organization. Having three under 5 this is a huge thing for me. Shaklee gives you an alternative version to any cleaning product you have now. Also not only is Shaklee a safe cleaning alternative to have around kids it is also so much better for Mother Nature.

So being better for the kids and better for the environment are both great things, but how does Shaklee do in getting the cleaning job done? In my opinion great the Shaklee products I was sent have worked as good or better in keeping my home clean.

The disinfecting wipes still kill 99.9 % of germs just like what I was using. The all-purpose cleaner is my favorite though I was previous using one by a popular company famous for bleach and my all-purpose cleaner smelled like bleach. In fact I ruined a new shirt I had on by getting it on me during cleaning. The chemical version often irritated my eyes and hands, the Shaklee version cleaned just as good if not better and did not cause any irritated or damage to my clothes.

I cannot even tell you how happy I am about using Shaklee now. It is one of the best changes I have made in a long time for my family, home and the environment. I completely recommend trying it out and if you have any questions about what all I liked or used. Just ask me I encourage your switch. I detailed below what I got in the starter kit. Also the starter kits is only $120 and trust me that is a great deal. Shaklee is more affordable than my current cleaning products.

I've heard of Shaklee before, but haven't really looked into it. The cleaning products sound amazing, and very affordable. I love that they are concentrated, which saves on oodles of plastic bottles. :)
